Sometimes you have to Unfollow People In Real Life

I’ve learned something important this weekend. Life throws you curve balls, they may come in many forms; life events, people, situations.

It is important to not let anyone else determine how you feel. Not give anyone else power over you. You know life can be tough, but in order to make it easier, you will realise that now is the time to take back control.

Be clear to those that impose on your life. Especially those that think they have the right to disturb your life in negative ways. It’s a really tough thing to be assertive. It’s a tough move to do something that is not naturally in your character. It is those times that you will stride forward into new territory. The territory that you hoped you would one day have the strength to step into.

A wise person in my life told me yesterday, there are two wolves that live inside each and every one of us. One is evil – he controls anger, envy, regret, greed, resentment, guilt, lies, ego. The other wolf is good – he is joy, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth and compassion.

There is a fight that goes on between the two each and every second of every day. Make a conscious effort to feed the right one.

Make the right choice. Make that day today.

  1. This post has so much wisdom, and I really needed to see it today. Thank you so much for sharing it. The words “Especially those that think they have the right to disturb your life in negative ways” rings unfortunately very true for me right now. Warmest of wishes. DL
